•As a Polish/Native American growing up in the American Rust Belt, I contextualize the rich cultural hybrids I experienced.
•On cold winter days, where my tiny house filled with the smell of garlic, steam, the cranking of the sausage grinder and Polka music in the background.
•I can still feel the energy and the excitement of producing our own homemade sausages.
•My father would make traditional pork kielbasa along with a Native American versions with fresh vegetables, buffalo and venison.
•My versions of sausage range from traditional kielbasa (Dad's Recipe) to vegan shawarma, Artichoke “crabless” Cake, Sweet Potato, and Mushroom.
